The Greenfingers School

The Greenfingers School, Akluj aims to provide a comprehensive, complete, career-oriented and skill-based education to boys and girls of all sections and sectors of society. We galvanize the aspiring children to realize their academic and aesthetic potential in a learning and living environment of values, inquiry, perseverance and re-fuelling. Students feel the thrill of quest and digest with state-of-the-art learning and growing techniques, globally benchmarked child friendly infrastructure and extensive sports facilities. The Greenfingers School was founded on 15th July, 1975 by Sahakar Maharshi Late Shri. Shankarrao Narayanrao Mohite-Patil, the legend who made wonders out of the impossible. He is the modern Bhageeratha, who brought water to the dry lands of the area by pioneering the construction of a 220 km water canal, embarking on a remarkable socio-economic development for the people here. Sahakar Maharshi is the source of our inspiration. The Greenfingers School is situated atop a hill that overlooks Akluj City on the east and drops down to another valley on the west. The multi-storeyed and well-ventilated school building, the dormitories for students, the quarters for faculty, the hygienic dining-hall, Labs, Library, Assembly Hall, the Administrative Block, and Play Grounds etc. spread over a sprawling, spectacular campus with 28 acres of topography carpeted in green.
