Welham Girls' School was established in 1957 by Ms. Olave Oliphant, an Englishwoman who aimed to create a world-class educational institution for girls in India. Named after her hometown village of Welham in Nottinghamshire, England, the school began with just ten girls and has since grown into one of India's most respected residential institutions for young women.
Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, the school offers education from Grade VI to XII.
